Our Solution

Balanced MacroNutrients
Our meal plans provide the macronutrients that your body needs. Each plan is designed to provide you with a balanced diet with the recommended daily amount of nutrients.

Protein
10-35% of total calories from plant-based sources to help maintain lean muscle mass, control appetite, and improve blood sugar control.
Fats
20-35% of total calories for sustained energy, improved heart health, and absorption of important vitamins.
Carbs
45-65% of total calories from complex carbohydrates to fuel your body, improve digestion, regular blood sugar, and reach weight loss goals.
Backed by Medical Research
Each and every meal we create is specifically designed to help you reach your goals - structured around 3 key sets of medically backed guidelines - Dietary Guidelines for Americans, American Heart Association, and American Diabetes Association. By strictly adhering to these guidelines, our plans help you not only lose weight but also live a healthier life, overall.
Dietary Guidelines for Americans
Our meal plans follow a healthy dietary pattern at every life stage with nutrient-dense food and beverage choices to reflect personal preferences, cultural traditions, and budgetary considerations.
Each and every meal plan focuses on a variety of food group needed, while staying staying within set calorie ranges. Foods high in added sugars, saturated fat, and sodium are limited.
How We Compare to DGA
American Heart Association Guidelines
Every Seattle Sutton's Healthy Eating meal plan follows the guidelines set forth by the American Heart Association. We control the sodium in our meals to ensure they average below 2200 mg, with plans ranging from 1500-2200 mg of sodium on average per day.
Our meals emphasize whole grains, fruits, vegetables, beans, peas, and unsalted nuts/seeds to reach the fiber goals set by the AHA while including an overall nutrient-rich diet. Total fat, saturated fat, cholesterol, and added sugars in our plans average below their recommendations and our meals have always been Trans Fat free.

American Diabetes Association Guidelines
The Diabetes Diet from the ADA recommends losing weight to improve insulin resistance which is the cornerstone of our calorie-controlled meal plans. They encourage eating an adequate amount of carbohydrates with about 45-65% of calories from carbohydrates which aligns with ALL of our plans.
The ADA recommends including a variety of high fiber foods and lean protein as part of an overall heart-healthy diet. Our portion-controlled balanced meals are a great way to both control diabetes and lower your risk of developing diabetes.
To learn more about how our plans compare to their guidelines read our ADA Guide.
